Digitally Safe Keeping Your Memories
About Us
We started this business in 2005 when Ian was studying full time at University for a teaching degree. It was very much a part time business, but started to grow very quickly.
Initially we started scanning photos to digital formats and named our business PhotoSafe. Over the next few months we quickly added video conversion and that grew very quickly overtaking the scanning side.
Because people confused us with photo scanners only we changed the name to DigiSafe to reflect the fact that we save precious memories and valuable data digitally.
During our years in business we have added a number of products and services to meet the needs of our customers and the list has grown and continues to grow as we search for new ideas.

In the conversion process we use equipment that is aging. This has very important implications. Firstly that, this equipment is getting harder to source in good condition. This means that one day the conversion process must end, so don’t delay in getting video’s and films converted.
Secondly, the new equipment for conversion is very expensive and this will mean an increase in prices to cover the cost of purchasing and maintenance.
So the answer is simple, do it now!
We greatly value our customers and we respect their privacy and the value they place on their videos, films and photos. It is a privilege to have their material in our hands until the conversion process is completed.
In respect to computers, we developed a learning stance as we received enquiries from customers about issues they faced with their computers. Just like the conversion process, we started out slowly and carefully developing systems to repair and build computer systems.
Our knowledge of computers is just like any other professional. It is one where you never stop learning. Changes and developments in technology mean that it takes many hours studying and gaining the required skills to become a computer technician.
There is an awful amount of hype and misconception when it comes to computer technology and we like to keep it very simple when it comes to fitting the right computer for our customers. We will not under or oversell you. This means you won’t need to pay too much for functions and speed when you won’t need it. It also means that you won’t get a computer that can’t do what you need it to.
So when it comes to a new computer or a repair, come to the people you can trust as we stand with you on every repair and sale. If we can’t fix it, we won’t charge you.
Come in and talk to us, we love to meet new customers every day.
